strredwolfFreeBSD and NetBSD need a CDROM and will not let you install off of boot floppies over NFS via a PCMCIA network card. Several Linux distros will.
F#ck *BSD. I'm sticking with Slack.
(The reason why I say this is that I have to reinstall Slack on a smaller, still working HD on my laptop. The 2 gig'er died for some reason, I don't know why. Any tools out there?)
