This morning, my father and I were to do some simple things that just needed to get done. Mom decided to tag along...which already blew today.

Oh, note to Kenneth Allan Priest who got a Learners Permit in the Beltsville, MD area: You had my ID number. You need to contact the MVA about a new one, since I was here first.

So how to begin... all three of us piled into the Honda and went down to the Annapolis Motor Vehicle Admin office. Mom gets into her usual routine about complaining about Dad's driving (which I have no problems with -- the driving, not the complaing) -- which is fairly constant for all the driving done today.

Got down there, filled out the form, waited for my turn, which was fairly quick. Get over there, and is told "Hey! Someone overwrote your info. I'm trying to get it back. It'll be a few minutes, I'll hand it off to a tech that'll recover it."

Thirty minutes later, the person calls me over and says. "Ok, you're groovy now. Take this over to area B and wait for your turn."

Get to area B, and waited about an hour to get processed. Only two people there and they had given priority to the C folks. <I>COME ON!</I> Get some more staff there and rework your priorities!!!

Got processed, rephotographed (since I'm 25 and the photo was taken when I was 20, just under age), and got my ID (even though they said they would only mail it. Clearly, they were making exceptions).

From MVA to a local "Rugged WearHouse" where an aunt works. Still a size 10.5 but sometimes manufaturers shrink 11's down, and the store gets odds-n-ends. Went up to Marley Station Mall. Gotten a pair of my workpants (they fit), tried on some black dress/work shoes, and got more than my fill of interference for today. <I>Dammit, just stand by with the checkbook, will 'ya!</i>

After two stops to two different shoe warehouses, one having the right shoes but bad service, the other having the wrong shoes period, just went home with a short stop to get a refill card for my prepaid cellphone.

Lets just say it's taking me a good time not to flame out Nate (KeenSpot).

I suppose then it might possibly be um, innappropriate of me to mention that Nate isn't KeenSPOT, but KeenSPACE, and has never, to my knowledge, been referred to as Keenspot - not even at the Con.

Eazy to prove.

1. KeenSpot Company Info (http://www.keenspot.com/companyinfo.html) lists Nate as CTO. Thus, KeenSPOT.

2. KeenSPOT owns and operates KeenSPACE, KeenPRIME, and I hope we'll have KeenTOONS (animation).

*shrug* He's employed by Keenspot, but he's not in charge of anything Keenspot related - he works on Keenspace.

Scratch again. He works on the hardware. He's not Cheif Technical Officer for nothing, you know.
