Bose is coming out with an iPod dock w/speakers and remote control.  It looks very elegant, and is designed to be portable with it's own Lith-ion battery.

It costs $400.

ARE THEY NUTS?!?  That's a $50 accessory and they're selling it for eight times as much?!?  This flops straight into Dick Debartolo's Gadget Warehouse.

I doubt it's a $50 accessory. I've seen cheap piece 'o garbage iPod docks with speakers go for no less than 50. Profit margins on small items tend to be huge.

Checked Best Buy. Insignia has the speaker-borne iPod dock for $40. Amazon's got similar around $35 for the cheapest.
