The judge in UMG v. Lindor (read: RIAA v. Lindor) has ordered the RIAA to disclose their expenses, in order to weigh if recovering more than $750 or more than a buck a song is a violation of judicial due process... and thus unconsitutional.

Is this good or bad? I'm assuming good... but why?

Good. It means RIAA has to justify why it's charging $750/song in damages when a song is only 99 cents. Previous rulings are against the RIAA for not being able to prove that a person was sharing music.
