My grandmother had Parkinson's disease. As far as I know, she rarely, if ever, drank carbonated sodas at all. They've linked hers with the flu epidemic from her childhood.
I'd be REALLY suspicious about those studies, myself. Especially since apparently cranberries, apples, cinnamon, and several other fruits and berries contain it - naturally.
Dr. Pepper isn't even a real doctor. He's just a pharmaceutical industry shill. Last I saw him, he was promoting some weight-loss pill which had the mild side effect of making your head twist right off your neck like a bottlecap.
