strredwolfMy main laptop, redwolf, died after I spilled orange Crush on it in reaction to my newphew. It got into the mainboard and a few other items, and I shut it down ASAP.
Initial cleanup commenced, and it doesn't want to start up.
It's now been disassembled, sprayed down, and now drying off in my downstairs bathroom sink. It's hard drive is attached to a PCMCIA (16-bit) portable HD, and I'm copying every regular file off of it onto my main rig tygris via my dead-battery laptop sandra.
What a mess.
I'm heavily considering replacing redwolf, a HP Omnibook 4150B, with an Omnibook 6000 my boss has now. It'll be a virtual upgrade.

Date: 2006-06-23 01:07 am (UTC)Except I spilt Citrus Drop on lappy. It took a few days before it booted but somehow it got into the screen so there are sploches on the screen. And the keys get sticky if it is on for too long. And Citrus Drop leaks out the side.
