Date: 2006-03-24 07:53 am (UTC)Oddly, we don't think of Verizon as a telephone company here. They're only mobile here. Nextel is here, but they only use the Sprint name pretty much.
As far as local telecom goes, we still have qwest which was US West, one of the baby bells...
And for long distance... Who uses landlines for long distance anymore? Grog and Ugh Caveman? *points at Packet8 and other similar VoIP solutions*
