My IRS refund check finally cleared (which means it takes roughly 2 business nights to clear a good check), and thus I'm able to order from Newegg:

• A Gigabyte brand GA-K9NE Socket 754 NVIDIA Nforce 4 Motherboard
• A Gigabyte brand NVIDIA Geforce 6600LE PCI Express x16 video card
• An AMD Sempron 64 2500+ (Palermo core)
• Two sticks of CORSAIR ValueSelect 1 Gig DDR 400 RAM

Total came out two cents shy of $358.  I chose to have it rushed (BLUE BINS!!!) and FedEx'ed over 2 days, so it should be here Friday, and I get to update systems.

No, giving it to Mom. She needs the speed and RAM I have. Her current mobo is Dad's mobo, and I'll get the lower-end one back for a different system.
