Nov. 25th, 2005 11:35 pmI have to coin a term here, for everyone to understand.
Tomb Raider Movie Syndrome (TRMS) -- when the character in a movie doesn't match the same character in game the movie's based off of, within reason.
This term is based off of the Laura Croft: Tomb Raider movies, in which the selected actor (Angelina Jolie) didn't match the bustiness of the pixelated Laura Croft in the game series -- the same bustiness which asks you "How much weight is in that backpack that allows her to stay balanced?" While the first movie attempted to match bustlines (but missed by several cup sizes), the second one gave up and was worse.

Christ, making her education, I.Q., agility, weapons budget, housing budget, vehicular budget, and travelling budget beyond belief and at the genius level just thrashes the whole concept to shit. Its a mixed up missmash of crap that just throws what could have been utterly believable into the realm of "Oh come the fuck on give me a break..."
I hate Tomb Raider, I will never watch another one for the rest of my life. I hate movies with that much amount of unbelievable-ness in it.
