So finally, our glorious President Bush has taken responsibilty for all the screwups relating to the relief effort of Katrina on the federal side.  Good.  I hope his polling numbers take a dive, and everything he tries to veto gets overridden.  Hell, I'm half tempted to say "impeach him!"  But that won't solve the problem, and I hope Congress yanks funding in apropriate areas to properly fix this.  (I hope they say "Have this much to get your levies up to Cat 5 rating.  Do it within a year, or we yank all funding from the state.")

Of course, I'm not counting on Congress to do much of anything except talk it to death... not that talking stuff to death is a bad thing.  That's what fillabusters are for.

Tonight, I had my fill of news and abuse.  I turned the TV off after Leno's monalogue.  Before that was the local news, and before that was four hours of World Series of Poker.... which was probably the only thing I really wanted to watch all day.  CNN/FoxNews/MSNBC/etc are ether covering the Cheif Justice nominations or Katrina aftermath.  The summary of the latter would be "Why wasn't the military brought in from day negative-two?  Oh, yeah, Louisiana's government.  Let's scrap it all, because it screwed up royally."

Tomorrow, I have to have my head in the game.  My TV will be off.  My PC will have Wolfox playing, and I will be coding my butt off for pay.

Just what has Bush taken responsibility for, anyway? The fact that he bordered criminal negligence in not pushing his underlings and the labyrinthine chains of command to more efficiently expedite relief and rescue processes? That man will never say 'We could have done better', much less 'I should have done {list:right_things}'. I guess we settle for him finally giving it his undivided attention in the wake of abysmally low approval ratings which are far too late in the game to really matter much anymore beyond an impeachment that will never happe unless he's caught *doing* something bad.

When you're tired of all the BS and just want a comedically cynical point of view, trust the Daily Show, if you get Comedy Central. Jon Stewart never lets me down. ...'Meet the F**kers'... *snicker*

Yes yes! The Daily Show has been a nightly watching staple on my paltry television schedule for atleast the past six months. "Evolution-Schmevolution!" kekekekeke!

As for you Red, seeing how you will be busy with coding today I guess I will leave my messages to a minimum. No reason for a hyper(active) wolfskunk to be bouncing around you while you're trying to make arrays and... umm... other things... programmers make... o.o'

The various comments and posts here are proof that no matter what Bush does, a certain subset of people will complain about it. ;)

<Bloggers> What ever happened to the buck stops here
* Bush apologizes and takes responsibility
<Bloggers> MWAHAHA, Lets impeach him! Lets use this to veto everything! Lets play politics! Lets record this and use it to get republican congressmen kicked out!
