If your travels take you through the Woodrow Willson Bridge (I-495/I-95 East of DC) this weekend near Washington, DC, take my advice: GO AROUND!!!
Why? There's construction to create another bridge, and they've cut all four lanes down to one. It's caused a backup up to 7 miles long.
DC DOT is suggesting folks on I-95 take the West-of-DC route (West-bound I-495 through Virgina and Western MD), which avoids the bridge. Local in DC? Take ether 395 to Virginia or 295 to Maryland. On Rt. 50 from Ocean City? You ether have to take the West-of-DC, or continue on 50 to 295, then hit 395 over the Patomac, because the Woodrow Willson bridge (according to Google Maps) is the last bridge over.
In other words, plan your trip ahead, and avoid 495 south of the city.

It's on the Virgina side, so locate the orange dot. Don't click on it. Click on the pink one to the left of it. (The orange dot is in Maryland, but it's down because a rogue backhoe operator cut the fiber to the camera)
