Redwolf's new fan is in, and works great.  All that's needed now is a CMOS battery and a regular battery -- the latter is going to cost me $50 if I go through PriceWatch or eBay; $200 through CompUSA; nada from BestBuy, RadioShack, nor Circuit City; and for kicks, $130 from Dell direct.
