I've now spent two days reading Something Positive, with it's wit and humor that's condensed down enough that the only way to dilute it is with your own tears of laughter.  I have to add it to my comic scanner, if I write one...

Which gets me to another point.  I'm very tempted to write up a comic ripper, but one that you have to pay for.  No, not "for pay," but one that ties into KeenSpot's Premium services.  My reasoning is "You're paying us instead of the ads.  You're paying for the comic.  You should have it, no ads, no nothing."

I just want to point out I'm anti-comic rippers. Do as you will, but please don't rip my comics.

I'm against rippers myself -- the concept of having them all in one place is good, but screen scraping for this purpose and avoiding the method of payment (ie your eyeball on the ads) is paranount to stealinig bandwidth.

However, if you take one ripper, and made it so that it would only work on certian comics (Comic Genesis comics, for example) and only if you paid KeenSpot for the privlege (KS PREMIUM, which advertizes itself as ad free), you'll get the win-win situation: The host gets paid in lieu of loosing ad revenue, and the subscriber gets all the comics he paid for.

A sound business model indeed.
