President Bush wants 'pro-homosexual' drama banned. Guardian news story.

This sends chills down my spine.  I hope Canada legalizes gay marrage.

The news about Bush doesn't surprise me in the least, but I am rather pleased that the Canadian government is taking this matter seriously enough to press forward. While I do have mixed-feelings on the whole same-sex marriage debate, I've always felt same-sex couples shouldn't be exluded from being joined in a ceremony and having the same rights and benefits as heterosexual married couples do.

I thought the preliminary matters on the new legislature would have been quashed before being brought to the supreme court, so I was rather surprised - in the good manner - when I heard the news it would all be reviewed after the holidays.

Now if we could only get rid of the GST...
