From [livejournal.com profile] susandeer I give thee this:

Have yourself a Merry little Christ-meme
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real-life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

Step Two

- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it. Play it forward.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

  Ten wishes for me... geesh...

I'd like a new laptop.  Nothing fancy, nothing expensive.  A Pentium II is okay.  Something with at least 32-bit Cardbus slots or USB ports.  My old laptop (a P-100) is just getting the job done.

I'd like a job.  A decent one, or at least something to pay the bills and allow me to take some classes to keep up on technology.  Anyone want a Linux/Unix System Admin with Technical Support/Help Desk experience in the Washington DC or Baltimore area?  I'm local and cheap!  I also support Windows and MacOS platforms.

I'd like to go out and network again, talk to people.

I'd like to learn how to drive a car, get my licence.  In the similar vein, get a car and the insurance.

I'd like to move out of my parents house.

I'd like my college loans to be paid off.

I'd like to hit the lottery... okay, that's a bit far fetched. :)

I'd like some folks to come to their sences, especially those in government.  Come on, some stuff doesn't make good economic  sence -- outsourcing to companies outside the US, for instance.  Or banning gay marrage, especially when you have the marrage penalty and it could rake in millions.

I'd like my webcomic to take of.  Yes, Stalag '99, at http://www.stalag99.net. ; At the very least the Cafepress stores, where my book is being sold at, as well as the t-shirts and various other designs.

Finally, I'd like information to be free.  It certanly wants to be feline. ^_^ *mew*

Contact me at wishlist at stalag99 dot com.

What part of the drivers test are you having trouble with?

The part in which I haven't taken it yet. Not even classes. No money to do it.
