In pure experience terms: the bar for "Moron in office" was set by Dan Quayle in the first Bush administration. Some military service, some ideas, nothing much. The pure joke. I'm glad he was only Vice Pres.
Now, in the race, the effort is to clear the bar by going over it, as in track and field. Going under it, as in lambada, indicated idiotcracy.
"Dubba" Bush has virtually no military experience abroad. Has a very poor record with the Texas Guard, especially with that unexplainable time laspe. Was basically taught to be a politician, and nothing else. No "fallback" position short of sitting around and bringing in Regan's pension check. Bush has ducked under the bar.
In comparison, Kerry went to Vietnam. Let's forget he earned metals, just being there in combat qualifies. Got into politics because folks didn't realize what was happening over there. Understandable, but also more knowledgable. Kerry has jumped the bar.
