Hold the phone!
Nov. 3rd, 2004 08:47 amProjected to win (it's not all offical yet, folks):
NOONE! Noone has gotten the requisite 270 eletoral votes to win it! It's currently Bush 254, Kerry 252. TWO POINT DIFFERENCE. Ohio is still in play with 20 Electoral votes, and they have NOT certified their election.
My suggestion to Kerry: DON'T CONCEDE! Get those lawyers down to Ohio, Florida, and every state that it's been so close you can challenge. Contact the ACLU and get on board with challenging the results in the key battleground states.

About your 254 to 252
Date: 2004-11-03 03:06 pm (UTC)At no point where they neck and neck.
BUT there were enough electrate votes that Kerry could pull a comback and TIE. Not win..
But I admit I didn't track ALL the news outlets just two major networks and a local radio station runned by clear channel.
If I had access to the Internet I'd be doing what I"ve done in preveous years and grepped the raw data myself.
Sense 1997 I've gotten all my polling data from vareous election websites. The Contra Costa County election website for local issues, California for state, etc.
The data will stay up for a few more months so go look up each states website and bookmark the poll counting pages.
Then you can do election covrage yourself.
Now that would kick butt wouldn't it?
