Okay, no drama here, please.  It's offically "Star Trek" but it's the 11th Star Trek movie.

Trailers are at http://startrekmovie.com and you'll need Quicktime installed.

I'm not sure what to make of this.  I'm at that crossroad at which I've seen...
  • The Origional Series (TOS)
  • The Animated Series (TAS)
  • The Next Generation (TNG)
  • Deep Space 9 (DS9)
  • Voyager
  • Enterprise
...plus, all 10 movies via various media (Big screen, small screen on broadcast, VHS, DVD).

It's not... well, it's very new.  It grabs at the younger generation (18-25 year olds), but I don't know if they'll go for it.

Hell, I don't know if I'd go for it.  I do know I won't pay full fare on Christmas Day to see it with fifty zillion Trekers/Trekees in costume and probably have the privilege of seeing yet another Klingon wedding ceremony in a megamovie theater.  Two weeks out for a birthday present?  Maybe.

I also looked at the Watchmen trailer, and all I can do is "Meh."  I know it'll be accurate to Frank Miller's books, but... I've read it already, and I'm spoiled.  Meh.
