Now I can look at IDE-to-SCSI chain converters (aka hook up an IDE drive to a SCSI chain and stop screwing with this buggy chipset). There seems to be two major makers, ACARD and Addtronics -- and Addtronics has the cheaper card.
I already have a SCSI card, a small drive...
Hmmm... Those cards are like $63 a pop. Let me see...
A 47-gig SCSI drive will cost me $32. Ebay has DVD-RAM SCSI drives for similar. I can do SCSI for under $100, and basically upgrade to burning DVD's. Sweet.
