Apr. 27th, 2002 07:59 pmAs some of you know, I have a nice Brooktree-baised TV capture card in my main computer, Tygris. It's hooked up to a VCR and then out to my cable TV provider/ISP. Because it plays right on my desktop, I can pull up TV Guide's Listings...
and get a "Connection refused" about 5 min before through 5 min after the hour. Guess why?
Hits? Yes, that's one part of it. Another is that they're using Microsoft IIS.
Um... Microsoft IIS on Windows NT/2000... the worse OS/Webserver combo to slap on the 'net.
Wait, the worst OS/Webserver combo would be a Commodore 64 with custom software. OI! It doesn't get worse than that.
