I got some stuff to come in:

• An MSI KT4VL board from GameVE (damn, they just reduced the price by like $6!)
  This will go into Tygris.
  
• A new NVRAM chip from Mouser for the Sun IPX
  The Sun shall be named Sidearm.
  
• A PCMCIA Adapter for PDA's that only have a CF port
  It's going into FireTiger (the Zaurus PDA)
  
• A dongle for the Xircom CreditCard Ethernet/Modem I bought earlier
  See if it works on RedWolf (old laptop)
  
• A motherboard/chip combo that I need a new ATX power supply and case for.
  The test rig will be Testcase.

Sigh, what fun.

I have the 64M SL5500, which is split 32 main memory, 32 storage. It's not too bad, but does have it's quirks:

* You have to have Linux 2.4.21 or greater to get the USB port working right.
* OS 3.10 is buggy, and won't recognize any connectivity for it's email app. It doesn't even look good!
* Some stuff you need to mod a few files, and for that, you need to install the Embedded Konsole.

There are a few good things, though:

* It's throughly documented.
* You can compile X11.
* You can yank out QPE/Qtopia.

hehe, never own an ipaq, only one series comes with CF slots, the rest use a "sleeve" which lets you put pcmcia, cf, memstick, mmc, etc in it, just not all at the same time.

I should look at the Zaurus... I want something I can do a little more with. ^^; I can't sync email with the ipaq because it only syncs with outlook, and I refuse to install outlook again.

Get the 5500SL series. The 5000SL's are development PDA's and are crap unless you're hacking it.

The nice thing though, they got a SD/MMC *and a* CF slot. Buy the 128meg SD card, slap OGG's on it, and play. The CF slot? Wifi. :)
