Bookworm and I were discussing who would replace Richard Harris for the position of Headmaster of Hogwarts Proffesor Dumbledore (apoligies if I mispell the names, haven't read the books). So we're tossing around ideas.

Patrick Steward (Star Trek TNG, Shakesphearian artist) -- Right face for the job. I can see him being a drop-in replacement in both form and ability.
Roger Moore (James Bond movies) -- Right age and facial structure. But hasn't done a movie in some time (retired). Maybe if WB asked...
Robert Goulet (Many movies, alot of Shakesphearian plays) -- Wrong facial structure. Needs alot of F/X work... enough to require increases in the movie budget.
Gene Wilder (Many humorous movies) -- Just for laughs. I can't see him being Dumbledore. He's played many quirky characters. Maybe as a lesser professor.

Actually, I remember reading that Christopher Lee (Saruman in LOTR) has been tapped to replace Harris.

His homepage (http://christopherleeweb.com/) says he hasn't been offered the position yet from WB. So it's offically rumor at this time.

However, he would be a good canidate.

I'd say Ian McKellen(sp?), but that's just me...

Ian McKellen (http://www.mckellen.com/) also looks like to be a good drop-in replacement.

I also got word from Bookworm that Christopher Lloyd could be a contender.
