They've basically implied recently that they need no warrant for searching your phone if you're carrying it outside of your home, so even if there is a copy on your mac, there's also one that can be extracted from your phone. Not only that, but police now have equipment where they can slurp the data off your phone without even taking it from you for more than the traffic stop. Grab the phone, plug it in, data pulled off, hand it back to you...
