Okay, for everyone's sake I took a 1-minute preview of the show that![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
equusmaximus pointed to (even though it's longer than 10 minutes). I'm getting interrupted on everything else where I'm at, trying to get some more artwork done, but the family decided to get the rest of the kitchen re-tiled and also mom wants someone to correct the photos or re-shoot them so there's no orange/brown tinge that's ruining things. *ugh*
That said:
The writing and execution isn't bad at all. Point taken,ceruleanst. It's got the right amount of kid-show cheese to be a kids show.
The artwork and animation is okay... hold on, interrupted again... okay back, now where was I... oh yeah... Infact, it's a knock-off style of Samurai Jack. It works fairly well but there's a few things off that are most likely my personal tastes. I mean, they're horses. The toys look like 'em....
...okay, used to look like them. I can't call them horses. I can't call them by the first impression, dragons. Someone must of had a ferret fixation and blended the shortness of the muzzle in there, and then got reminded that it was going to be sold in Japan, so they doubled the eye size. Of course, given Hasbro's history, they had to push out a new animated series to sell it...
The point I wanted to make earlier is "Why are they pushing out something that looks this bad?" I'm shifting the position here, taking in the good arguments. I'm now saying "Why couldn't they adjust it so it would be less likely to be actually mocked and spoofed by everyone and their dog?" Example 1. They could of saved some pain, but it looks like not to have been on Hasbro's radar.
Oh great... my mind is now taken a back-flip into the gutter and thinks that doing an anthro version of them is up Mot's NSFW alley. Kids, don't *vrrrrrrrrrrrrp!* click!
