Thing you gotta remember about the movies.. is they aren't a 3 year time span. The BRPD had been running for a LONG time, and the cases in the movies are just random ones picked out. Well.. Cept the first one. Kinda important. But Hellboy DOES quit the BRPD in the comics. Gets sick of all the crap that keeps comin his way, an goes on a walkabout for a while. Abe, however, was supposed to stay.
