If the times are in the a.m. the "accident" was an Amtrak C&S employee being fatally struck by an Acela. :={

They are (I believe LoudTwitter posts them in Military). Washington Post had the article saying it was an Amtrak employee on the line that was struck. No word on the guy's condition or why he was on the line outside New Carrolton, MD.

He was doing track work.

He had some limbs severed, but was alive at the scene. He died later at the hospital.
No word, yet, on what actually happened.

Baltimore Sun is confirming the death at the hospital. Ouch. If he had family, my condolences go out to them.
