New MRE testing... which didn't go so well over at Ft. Greeley in Alaska.  One reviewer said "Don't ever give the stuffed cabbage to a soldier again, even POWs deserve better."

There's a reason Tabasco has been a staple of all MRE's. It overwhelms the nastiness. The really bad meals have no peanut butter.

] Personally, I have had a mostly positive experience with them. My only negatives are on food I already don't like and on second-hand meals that had spoiled.

] They have also improved since I was in. The bag for heating beverages was a fantastic idea. I'm not a fan of drinking cold coffee, and you can't always get hot water in the field.
