There's probably two things that make me drop a comic from my daily trawl:
  • The comic looses my intrest ("had hooked me, but let me escape")
  • The comic doesn't update in a reasonable amount of time, and doesn't show any promise to ("timed out")
Take Melonpool.  Recently it changed formats from newspaper strip based to comic book format, having it "reboot the universe"... then the author had about five or six external requests and hasn't updated the comic after a handful of pages.  He has tried to put in fillers such as older strips and his work into puppetry... but now...

The reboot failed.  The author has timed out.  I've now moved his comic from "Weekdaily" to "Inactive."

I'm afraid I no longer even have a daily trawl of comics. I used to get the top 3 on my list every day (schlock, techfox, freefall) but now it's more like a weekly "catch up on some comics" where I get back up to date with about 7 of the ones on my list. I usually read schlock every couple days still. 2 of my weekly routine are BLC, but Melonpool is one I've not read in months.
