Awfully funny...
My comic apparently got another link at Something Awful, and it gathered up some responce on
stalag99 . It also highlighted that I didn't set anonymous posting to be moderated (don't want to completely disable it). This will make it slighly harder for the hordes over there to post (even though I'm logging their IP addresses already) as I belive there's a "Don't you dare ID yourself to them, or you're gone from us" rule over there.
Of course, if you're one of the goons comming from Something Awful and you think you can do better than me, then sign up and prove it. May I also remind you that you should be listening to Reel Big Fish's A Little Doubt Goes a Long Way.
And now, for something different. Scott Kutz just hit that sweet spot again in Tuesday's (which got posted today) PvP. He's being topical (with both large lotteries being past the quarter-billion mark), and mixes a bit of unusual curdosy with the shock of hitting the big one. It brighted me up.

How would it be my fault if someone gets antsy and calls someone Hitler?
Look, I'd recommend taking in what your critics say to a certain degree. See, when you post something creative on the net, there will be people who criticize it in one way or another. That's why I personally, if looking for feedback, don't limit it to just friends or family due to the fact they would only compliment my work.
When you post in on the internet, you're open to all sorts of critique; some useful some not. I honestly think I pointed out just a few reasons why your comic attracted negative attention from SA.

I do agree, and you do seem to be the more sane of the bunch comming from Something Awful. I belive you have gone through the entire archives, and yes, I expected that reaction from Something Awful. Hell, I expected worse -- and was prepared to lock the server down when I saw the responce.
I didn't lock it down. You saw the results yourself on Wensday and Thursday -- I goaded folks on. It was fun.
But to your points above. I can see your statements about the artwork, something I've been slowly (too slowly) working on. The backgrounds are a good idea, and I'll have to start generating various background patterns for the various venues (Shotgun Shells, The PawsTooth, The Embassy, etc). However, I don't see how color will help at all, save for telling one character from another (even though there's about five different clues already). I've also already given up on making sure there's a "gag in every strip" -- not the main intent of the comic, so it's incidental.
