(and my computer's date was set incorrectly.  Fixed... )

...more specifically, the battery.  The Toshiba Sattilite 115CS's battery (a newer APC one, to boot, but it's been a few years) is loosing it's charge, and no hypercharger's going to fix this problem.

I also belive that a newer laptop under $200 is going to be a better investment than trying to buy another battery.  CardBus slots and 64 megs of ram are the minimum I'm settling for.

Any ideas?

( Fast forward to real today )

If you've followed from my previous entry (above) , you'll know I'm looking for a new laptop.  Something I can slap Linux on, has at least 64 megs of RAM and Cardbus slots (for 32-bit cards, aka 802.11g networking, USB ports, yada yada yada).

Talked to [livejournal.com profile] gentle_wolfox and he recommended the Dell CPi's.  Granted, he knows them kinda inside-out, having repaired them and gotten a few working.  So I thought "Well, if they're at most $600, I'll look..."

Ebay's selling some of the better CPi's for max $200.

Yep, This is the one.  Glad I'm finally getting paid for some stuff.
