My ISP is still spotty, and no tech has come to repair the line! I called them up again, got on hold for 15, and then found out that the last tech on Tuesday didn't tell their dispatch center about the problem. *ARGH!*

If I don't get full Internet capacity restored by Monday, they're getting a nice LART from me, both w/Cablespeed's tech service and Millenium's Billing department. And I will be demanding a dialup backup -- if they can't do it because they don't know how, then it looks like they need the help to pull it off...

Cablespeed = crap

That damn company has so many problems. Heh, you should read the forms at the cablespeed website.... very interesting stories. I hate it so as well. >.

chances are they dont have any dialups they control. the only cablemodem provider i know of with dialups is adelphia, and they discontinued the service, since it was part of their 'business solutions.' even two years ago, who in their right mind buys dedicated 56k service for their -business-?

They don't. I'll be glad if they got a deal with United Online (Netzero/Juno folks) to give us free PPP access w/o limitations. UGH! It makes me want to crack open their software and port it to Linux.
