Meta because I don't own the game.

And after reading some of the reviews... I'm not sure if I want to buy it.

Most of the reviews are: OMG HE'S BACK! IT'S HERE! IT'S OUT OF VAPORWARE! This looks likes to be a pure shoot-everything FPG. Okay, that joke's stale.  That one's disintegrated.   Damn, I had to look that one up. Gawd this is old.  Dated. Come on, let me finish this nostalgia trip... what a grind. What's with the weapons? What happened with this? It's been worked on for 15 years but feels like it was slapped together in 15 weeks.

In other words, if you've played Duke Nukem since the 2D scroller days all the way to DN3D Atomic Edition, it'll make you wonder if Duke's got gum.

This puts the price of it in grave doubt. It for sale on Steam for $50, preload was $45. I doubted it was worth more than $40, just because of the age and the videos that had been pushed out before.  Now, I doubt it's even worth that $40.

The thing is, the graphics and sounds were done when Gearbox got it, plus the overall plot... which feels like a re-run of DN3D... that was stripped down to compete with Halo.  I mean, DN3D had a ton of weapons you could switch from. DNF reportedly only has three, maybe four?  What is this, one-man TEAM FORTRESS 2?!?

TF2.  Okay, how much is that... $10 now.  When it came out, it was $25.  Is DNF worth $25?

Yeah, it's worth $25. I'll pay $25 for a legal copy of the game on Steam.  $30?  Maybe.  $40? That's the high water line.  Walmart/Target? I'd be surprised if they even carry it.
