16GB iPhone or 32GB iPod Touch. $500. Available now.

Oh crap. It's now matching my 16GB iPod Touch. For $100 more I can get a phone -- one of the better phones that uses the same interface as the iPod Touch. It took a year and change to get it to this point in the iPhone's life. It took half a year to get it to match the now mid-level iPod Touch.
$500. $60/mo with an AT&T contract, what I'm paying now for my 3G data service. If I can get both on one bill I'll be very happy. It means I can tweak my laptop to be an access point and throw a Wifi to 3G setup out anywhere, and hook ye iPhone to it for extra geek points.
And tomorrow's payday. Must jigger the finances or else delay two weeks...

Feb. 5th, 2008 03:37 pm...and get back to regular news now that the courts have not only ordered Britney "Shocking" Spears to be mentally evaluated, but to have her father take control of her finances. It also extended the father's restraining order, barring her manger from contacting her.
