Jan. 15th, 2007 05:11 pmYou know, having a state government job has a downside.
First, is the commute. Granted, it's 30 min to get there by Light Rail, but I get up to get there with Dad, so I have 45 minutes to futz around when I do get there; when I come back home, I have to wait another 30 just to catch the right train. By then, I'm sick and tired of waiting and want to watch something informative like the news.
Second, there's the workplace policy. I'm not going to say it's a bad policy; it's there for a reason and I don't want to trip it. Thus, if I have spare time I'm not going to be doing much artwork that is going to be overtly sexual in nature. Stalag '99 is OK, because I want to keep it decently sane and I have the sci-fi component in it. But some commissions can't be done at work.
So folks, I'm going to be very slow with commissions. I have two ready to print. I have one to color, one that needs a round of scan/correct/munge, and five to start. I'm a mess.
