Every time I hear something relating to science fiction and wars between to cultures, no matter how far it would be to relate those two towards the topic at hand, I'm reminded by a challenge Howard Taylor (Schlock Mercenary) posed to Iain M. Banks.  (Archived page)

I've always wondered if Iain has heard of the challenge... but then, I sometimes wonder what would happen with the Canmephian universe getting into a battle.
