Oh, really now... after reading that diatribe, you now have some competition... or in your words, *real* competition.

Submitted for your review, Stalag '99 at http://www.stalag99.net.

RSS Feed?  We got it -- and it's done by the system itself, not a crummy external site.
Blogs?  We got two, mine and the community blog from Livejournal.
Wiki's?  You have the SSCPedia, we have the Canmephian Public Library.
Books?  You just came out with one.  We have two, and not with filler crap ether.  We've been here since '99!  Your comic "just" started out.

Now let's talk about the update engine.
Mine:  AutoKeen, but that will change with WolfKeen, my own Comic Genesis specific autoupdate engine that's compatible with AutoKeen.
Yours:  Well, we don't know.  Dollars to donuts it's custom made.

And finally, let's talk creation tech.  Stalag '99 uses 95% open source technology (Linux, Gimp, Perl, and Netpbm for the strip you see -- the 5% is a copy of Dreamweaver on Windows 2K run ontop of Linux using VMWare).  No need to switch OS's for even scanning, it's all native.  For the books, the layout is also automated using Perl, Netpbm, and Ghostscript to create the PDF's suitable for uploading to Lulu.  You, I bet you're doing it by hand.

I'd say while temporarily down by one, we're ahead of the game.

By the way, great work with Starslip Crisis.  You made my bookmarks.
