Thinking about Anthrocon 2006
Nov. 4th, 2005 12:22 pmAnthrocon is going to be bigger now. June 15th to 18th. Whoa. Better price travel there now. Leave on the 14th, return on the 18th.
Amtrak will do it for $84 total, but it's a nine hour trip with some layover time in Philly. In essence, I take all day to get there.
Most of the online airline ticketing services will do it faster, for $334 at least, but I have to have a layover in Chicago... which doesn't quite make sence. Why overshoot your destination only to backtrack? For $461, I get to layover in Atlanta, GA. $525, Cleveland. Only if I book a flight w/United Airlines and toss 'em $538 do I get a direct flight from BWI to Pittsburg.
Ugh. Ether way, I got to start saving the cash. $84 for the tickets. $110/night for room, or $550 total, unless I can room with someone and split the costs. $40 for registration.
I can safely say I need a thousand dollars to go to Anthrocon.
