Went to the bank, and checked my balance there. Since banks usually "do the books" around 2am or so, it's usually a matter of
how they resolve all the deposits, debits, withdraws, and charges.
Yesterday, I was like $175 in the hole. Today, I'm not negative at all. No fees.
Apparently my bank places all deposits first (landing my over $200 paycheck into everything), then all the debits/etc (including finalized charges, since it's a check card). And since 99% of my purchases are done via a charge to the check card (not a debit, which I get "fined" for), all of them fall under credit card rules, giving me some more time -- but temporarly confusing the hell out of the bank computers, ATMs, etc for some odd reason that even the teller lady couldn't explain. (I like Provident for that -- the lady stepped through things and there was no attempt on my account.)
What fun.
xaviusarchangel sent me four SCSI drives that I can put in a RAID setup, plus a Celeron Slot 1 card for the motherboard I have... unfortunately, I belive it's BIOS isn't liking it. Thankfully Ebay has Pentium II's for cheap (with heatsink) so I'll snatch one, get it in. The mailman caught me while I was unlocking the door, and remembered the package. I also asked him about another package comming up -- the laptop. I didn't know if it would come on Thursday or Friday (it was taken in Tuesday afternoon in New Hapshire), so I asked him to keep an eye out for it. If it came Thursday, when I will be babysitting, please PLEASE leave me a notice, I'll pick it up on Friday. He said he would.
