Pulled Bitlbee and compiled it on redwolf.  It's an IM to IRC gateway that has it's own server, letting you use AIM/ICQ/Yahoo!/MSN like you were using mIRC or sirc.  So far, so good... time to code up a custom client for it.  At the very least, I'll use the "Curses" module in Perl and rewrite sirc.

I am now of the firm belif that David Letterman, on the Late Show, was not joking when he said "The President has passed his physical.  No word yet on his mental."

Several tapes of President "Dubba" Bush were released to the public by one-time advisor Doug Wead ( Washington Post report -- Google News search -- AP has the lead).  In it, there is somewhat of an admission to previous illegal drug use of Bush in his youthful years.

I belive that a good amount of drug use affects the brain's development and damages normal (within a range) functionality.  I won't be suprized if researchers have published data leading to that fact.

If Bush's statements prove true, that he did abuse illegal drugs, that would lead that Bush is NOT of sound mind and body.  I belive that is a firm qualifier for even running for President of the US.  A strong, fit leader is a requirement because of the stress of running the country can take it's toll.  If Bush is not of sound mind and body, everything within his "terms of office" is thrown into doubt.

Blackboard was hiring, but they're looking for Oracle folks.  I only have SQL experience with MySQL.

Comcast was hiring, but their communications wasn't working -- I had to call them to find out I wasn't being hired.  They supposedly sent out a letter to me but I haven't heard dip until I called them.  Maybe they're still trying to figure out why SPEWS and Spamhaus aren't letting them skirt by.  I don't know, I'm not in there.  All I can say is what I have seen.

Companies supposedly hiring apparently have HR desks that are acting like abuse desks as of late -- the good ones reply back with personalized replies and verifiably act on your report.  The bad ones ignore your report and give you junk about it.  The average ones you can't tell what they're doing, because they're not saying anything.
