Granted, the hard drive's only a gig large (I'll add another one) and the memory's 72 pin (got that covered, I got some more still), but I think I can max it out and get a decent terminal out of it. I'm slapping Slack 10 on it now -- it's a tight distro. I just wish Gentoo's portage didn't take up like half a gig of space. The CDROM on it needs to be swapped out -- it's not ATAPI compatible and Linux is tripping over a burn I did.
Comcast directly offered me a position as COT (read: tech support) which is something I've done already, no problem. I'm waiting for them to call me back and say "Come in, we want to hire you" after I taken a drug test and consented to a background check about two weeks ago. Dad and a friend in Texas are saying that five (business) days are sufficent for that to be done. I'll have to bug them tomorrow while babysitting the neices.
