Matrix Revolutions
May. 28th, 2004 05:16 pmI have a long standing policy with movies: If I see a trilogy, I want to see the whole three movies.
I've now seen the last of the Matrix series, which is fully out on DVD. And, if you're like me, you'll probably own the copy. I picked mine up on Ebay, a good quality (DVD wasn't scratched, but showed little wear) wide-screen version for about half price (including shipping). Needless to say, I'm backing it up.
As expected, the movie is on-par with Matrix: Reloaded in terms of technological advancement. It presents an ending to the trilogy. Not a good one, admitedly, but then Keanu Reeves (Neo) dies, Hugo Weaving (Smith) dies, and the equasion is balanced. There's little to base another sequel out of it.
Of course, all of this is now fodder for a parody. I'm going to write a script for inside the Stalag '99 universe, tying some elements in there. An old story hit off of the first one. Now I'm going to plink off all three. An alternate storyline, anyone?
