Jun. 26th, 2003 10:04 pmIntresting day yesterday.
One of my supervisors who was scheduled to come into work didn't show (turns out he pitched a softball game the day before, and his last pitch got hit right to his thigh -- OWCH! ). Talked to the manager who was there (there's usually three on duty at one time) who also happened to schedule the supervisors' shifts. He let me be supervisor for that day. A coworker also got pegged, and we ran the two sides of the megaplex until a proper supervisor came in at 5pm, to which I handed stuff off to her.
Of course, it was an all-female shift for ushers in the morning too -- I was the only male there! Holy role reversal, Batwoman! But they worked very well -- save for one. Poor girl; I wish there was something that could be done but it looks like a personality quirk that's incompatible with work.
At the end, night shift demanded -- and I tried to keep some sanity to it.
