Mar. 23rd, 2003 01:15 amMy old scanner, a Umax Astra 1220S (SCSI) scanner, is refusing to work after I've reset it and whatnow. Ether the SCSI card isn't working, the cabling, or the scanner. Ether way, I'll have to replace it, and I'll have to use USB.
*sign* Thus, this latest comic is a rehash of older strips, unfortunately. I have new stuff inked up, but I can't scan it in. Which also means Stalag '99 is on hiatus again until I find a new one!!!
I have one in mind, an Epson Perfection 1260. It's ranging from $80 to $100 depending on where I go, or if I pick it up at the Circuit City where I work. Plus, the drivers for it in Linux are listed as "stable". I can't find that for any other manufacturer. Epson is really supporting SANE. I can afford it, but if you want to contribute towards offsetting the bill, click on the Paypal donate button.
