What needs to be done for the future.
Sep. 16th, 2002 12:41 amWe gotta fix up this screwed up world of ours. Here's some things that may help out...
Strike down the DMCA and UCTIA: The Digital Multimedia Copyright Act has good intentions but has very bad consenquences for consumers who wish to only listen and read. The UCTIA defines that all software has a waranty, including open source software where there can be no waranty to begin with. All stifle development.
Impliment a national anti-spam law: This will save consumers millions as spammers will be caught not using a legal standard way of spamming -- by keeping proof the user wanted to opt-in, and I mean REALLY opt-in. Brownie points for requiring all email servers to be secured, and fines for those that are open w/o approval & license. Allow ISPs to be sued in a class action lawsuit if they don't kick of spammers.
Nuke Iraq: I'm just tired of the whole charade. Nuke Saddam Hussein like we should of done years ago.
Open Source AIM: Really. Open up the code or change it all so we can IM over a cleartext protocal.
More as I think of them.
