I found a good trick in dealing with DIMM/SDRAM memory that doesn't want to shove in and click: A "Bic" pen.

What's the deal? The motherboard's bending left-right-and-center as you pressurize it. A Bic pen is just the right size to support it. Shove it under the memory slots on the edge, and it'll work wonders.

Oh, BTW, Linux kernel 2.4.10's much much better now with swap. It's kinda problematic when you got 256 megs of memory, you didn't do anything memory intensive... and you're on swap.
