I just had an intresting idea on describing how Macs store files. I call it "the fisherman concept."

Imagine a fisherman. He's got his waiders, his tacklebox, his rod and reel, his bucket of worms. Nice image, eh?

The tacklebox, you know, has a label, seperate compartments, and a bottom general area. Mac files are like that -- a label for the filename and what type and who made the file; seperate compartments for the resources (code and graphical UI elements, the "resource fork"); and a general area for generic info (the "data fork").

Most everyone else's files are like the bucket of worms with a small label slapped on the handle.
