SPX 2007
I dropped in last Saturday to the Small Press Expo, mainly to meet the Blank Label artists and see Howard Taylor.
I ended up dropping $65, picking up a $10 "Starslip Crisis tech manual" and a $5 pin.
I also met the person behind Dresden Codak and the Digital PIMP team, including Irv and Joe. Dropped him a line about Roberto Benini's Pinocchio...
...which I believe is an absolute horrible movie. This isn't Disney's Pinocchio, this is a live-action, filmed in Italian, overdubbed in English, with Pinocchio played by Roberto himself. Folks would enter, then leave within five minutes. A mom with a few kids tried it, and left asking for their money back (sorry, but no refunds, vouchers only). It's like an overdubbed Kung Fu flick, but worse. Much worse. I was on the lookout for gouged-out eyeballs.
Glad to see Joe having fun.
