First off, I'm going to say that rather than going to either extreme, try to find a balance. Keep the pride parades, but take out some of the more extreme behavior. Sure the costumes are rather flamboyant and showy, but I'd say keep em. On the other hand, activities like one person stuffing their nose in the rear of another, is definitly not for public display.

2ndly, if such displays are a major, or the only aspect of who a person is, why should I take that person seriously?
