(no subject)

I added Two Lumps to my webcomics trawl.

You know, when it comes to webcomics, there's a heavy weight factor that comes in play with me:  Does it cause the Productivity Virus and forces me to read the archives?

Most every webcomic I read now is in because of that.  There's only a very few... okay, one which doesn't cause it:  Funny Farm, due to an intresting sideplot.

I'm considering dropping:
  • The Guardians, because it's not holding me. Sorry, Greg.  Your origional Gaming Guardians and Furry are holding me. Superosity also didn't hold me, so I dropped it.
  • Commander Kitty I may have to drop because the artist has decide to phoenix the strip -- drop everything as non-cannon and rebuild from the ground up. I rarely go to it now.
  • Altermeta... I'm not sure what the artist is doing, but I'm getting close to "timing out" here and tossing it into Inactive.
  • Psychic Dyslexia Institute -- It's in hiatus for alot of reasons, and I can't blame Scix for it.  However, it looks like to be a perment ending.
All of this means I need to build a CGI script to help me traul through them.

is "Scrued" also in the inactive list? I haven't seen it updated ever since.... September '03.

I know the artist. She plays the Scrues on the Napping Cat's Dream RP forum. I'll give her a ping, as I doubt she knows her comic needs to make the KeenSpace --> Comic Genesis transition.

Man, you're just NOW dropping Commander Kitty? I mourned and moved on months and months ago. Some forlorn hope is keeping me from removing Jackie's Fridge from my favorites list, though.

Never heard of the User Friendly Productivity Virus?

Eh, for me it's partially "Man, I need to write some sort of script to keep all these comics together!"

Coined by User Friendly, The Productivity Virus is a digitally transmitted virus affecting humans. The primary point of infection is a webcomic which brings in the victim within the first few strips, causing the victim to stop everything and read through the entire archive.

Repeat infections from the same comic have been known to happen.

] Might be phoenixing RoD as well. Or 'Reloading' anyway. I'm going to keep a 'best of' from the original; mostly stand-alone strips that still make me laugh. I realized that I wrote myself into a corner on a few storylines and one of them was pointless anyway, instead of the grand glorious literary masterpiece I first envisioned it as. Some "digital remastering" needs to occur as well.

] I still don't know what's the deal with ComicGenesis, either. Probably because due to some oversight I wasn't on the mailing list. Care to clue me in and point me at the new member pages? :)

Commencing upload...

KeenSpot/Space confusion sucked. Name changed. Toonspace sucked. Webtoonspace sucked. Everyone wanted Comic Genesis. They got it. Siteadmin/WebFTP moved to siteadmin.comicgenesis.com:8080 until Kisai writes PHP version. New front page sucks. Joel Fagin is doing front page redesign.

Care to give a list of the webcomics you do peruse?

And I can add 'Lacunae' to the 'dead' list, I spoke with the artist, and she's not able to draw, in her opinion, at an acceptable level of quality.
