I'm home instead of at Balticon today. Why?
I was reconstrucing office furnature today at $DAYJOB. Not part of the job but I have no projects to work on and a cow-orker needed her desk turned around. Me and another cow-orker set to the task after approving the plans yesterday... which involved swapping two pieces of furnature: the cabinet tops for two tables, one 6" shorter than the other.
The female's desk is ok. Me and ye assistant were in some tight quarters getting a backing board put in the other one. It was being stubborn, and in trying to get it hooked in the other end slipped and *BANG!* right on the head as I was lying down on the floor.
I didn't loose consciousness. GHAAAAH! I'm bleedin'! Get the first aid kit! Open up the gauze.
They rushed me to a urgent care facility they have contracted to, and got me stapled up, 7 staples.
Out of concern, I worked the rest of the day at Cromwell.
